Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a security-focused professional to support, administer, troubleshoot, repair, and elevate customer issues across security technologies. You will assist customers with requested moves, adds, and changes while protecting client computer systems, networks, and data.

Stay current on security intelligence, manage tickets within SLAs, perform health checks, and assist with escalated engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience with security technologies listed in the requirements across enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of security concepts, change management, and incident handling.
• Ability to communicate security requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Legal work eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.

Job description

• Support, administer, troubleshoot, repair, and elevate customer issues across security-focused technologies
• Assist customers with requested moves, adds, and changes while protecting client computer systems, networks, and data
• Stay up to date on security intelligence and hackers’ methodologies
• Manage requests in the team and personal queue within established SLAs
• Efficiently manage tickets
• Perform system and platform health checks for security products as needed
• Assist with escalated security engagements as needed
• Troubleshoot, report, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Communicate with customers and internal teams
• Research and recommend security enhancements and services

Requirements

• Experience working with and supporting at least three of the following security technologies: Cisco Security Products (CSE, Umbrella, Secure Network Analytics, DUO); EDR Platforms (Cylance, CrowdStrike, Defender, SentinelOne); Tenable Products (IO, SC, Lumin); Horizon 3 Node Zero; Email Security Products (Proofpoint, Mimecast, Cisco Secure Email); Darktrace
• Understanding of network protocols and traffic flow in an enterprise environment
• Ability to perform security whitelisting of false positives
• Ability to evaluate security requests for change across multiple security platforms
• Ability to analyze change impacts and articulate why changes may weaken security envelopes
• Knowledge of DNS technologies and how they are secured
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, and report‑writing skills
• Ability to stay current on IT security trends, vulnerabilities, and news
• Ability to research security enhancements and best practices
• Ability to recommend security enhancements and services
• Ability to meet and uphold CJIS requirements
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• VMware or Hyper-V experience is a plus
• Basic Linux knowledge is a plus
• Microsoft SC-500 certification is a plus
• Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
