Job summary

Premier Research is seeking an IT Security Analyst I to join our IT & Corporate Administration team. You will help biotech, medtech, and pharma companies transform ideas into medicines and diagnostics, while growing your skills in security practices and compliance. The role supports incident response, risk management, and security awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• Security+ certification or commitment to obtain within 1–2 years.
• Experience identifying and mitigating network vulnerabilities and explaining them to others.
• Hands-on with Fortinet solutions, vulnerability scanning, antivirus & malware analysis, IDS/IPS, log correlation tools, and NAC.
• Familiarity with VMware and Microsoft Windows Server configurations.

Responsibilities

• Promote IT security best practices and investigate security breaches and other cyber-security incidents.
• Develop and review/update a security awareness program across the company.
• Conduct internal and external security audits.
• Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
• Ensure IT infrastructure complies with regulatory requirements (21 CFR Part 11, GDPR) and SOPs.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation for company assets.
• Stay current on IT security trends and improvements to infrastructure.

• Promote IT security best practices company-wise Ivestigate security breaches and other cyber-security incidents
• Ensure the development of and continuous review/update of a suitable security awareness program
• Conduct internal and external security audits
• Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems
• Ensure that the IT infrastructure is compliant with all regulatory requirements (i.e. 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR), existing SOPs, and generally accepted industry practices
• Perform vulnerability assessments, security testing, and work on remediation and mitigation findings for companywide assets
• Research and recommend improvements to the technical infrastructure relative to security, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), UTM, and overall system integrity
• Provide off hour support on an infrequent, but as needed basis
• Stay current on IT security trends and news

Требования

• Bachelor's degree, or its international equivalent, in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent combined education and experience
• Certification, or commitment to quickly obtain certification, such as Security + 1-2 years with significant security related information systems/technology experience or 3-5 years IT Operations experience with direct experience in a modern IT environment
• Experience identifying and mitigating network vulnerabilities and explaining to others how to avoid them
• Hands-on experience with the following: Fortinet solutions, vulnerability scanning, antivirus & malware analysis, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), log correlation tools, and network access control (NAC)
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts
• Familiarity with best practice security configurations for solutions by VMWare, and Microsoft Windows Server
• Strong familiarity with access-lists, subnet masks, subnetting, and ip routing
• Background in CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech development, or health care industry preferred
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Sound organizational and time-management skills. Must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed in a fast-paced working environment, especially when dealing with time sensitive issues and mandated deadlines
• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
