Project Overview
The SouthCarolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) is focused on maintaining secureand efficient IT systems that protect sensitive citizen information and ensurethe integrity of motor vehicle licensing and titling data. Duties/Responsibilities:
Entry-Level Security Position
- Supportthe DMV Security Team in day-to-day cybersecurity activities.
- Receivetraining to perform assigned security responsibilities.
- Applybasic server or network administration skills as a foundation forcybersecurity responsibilities.
- Monitorand analyze threat intelligence feeds to identify emerging threatsrelevant to the organization.
- Documentnew attack methods, vulnerabilities, and other threat findings.
- Sharerelevant threat intelligence findings with the security team.
- Useopen-source intelligence (OSINT) tools to gather data on potential risksand adversaries.
Threat Hunting and Detection Rule Creation
- Conductproactive searches for suspicious behavior in network and endpointactivity using provided tools and playbooks.
- Utilizethreat feeds to support threat-hunting activities.
- Investigatesuspicious activity across network and endpoint environments.
- Staycurrent on emerging cybersecurity threats.
- Collaboratewith senior analysts to refine and test detection rules.
- Assistwith SIEM queries and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint detection rules.
- Documentthreat-hunting methodologies and findings to support continuousimprovement.
- Reviewand interpret firewall, endpoint, and server logs.

Education and Certifications:
