• Provides guidance on information security policies to ensure availability and integrity of enterprise applications, systems, networks, and data.
• Defines and validates the need for proposed new or improved systems through consultation with program officials.
• Acts as primary liaison or project manager with internal and external customers on IT development matters and performance metrics.

Duties

• Serves as principal technical authority and lead specialist with responsibility to ensure effective, economical, and advanced technical management of customer computing requirements for assigned systems and applications.
• Prepares and presents cogent and cohesive analyses and briefings advising DoD and DISA management leadership on new technological developments, techniques, and enhancements that result in increased time and cost efficiencies.
• Provides technical guidance, interpretation, and implementation oversight of applicable information security policies, processes, and practices to ensure operational availability and integrity of enterprise applications, systems, networks, and data.
• Defines and validates the need for proposed new or improved systems through consultation with program officials in customer program organizations.
• Serves as the primary liaison or project manager with internal and external customers on information technology development matters and/or systems performance metrics.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
• In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months.
• This is a drug testing designated position.
• Overtime may be required as workload demands.
• Incumbent to be in a standby or recall status in case of national emergency, mission critical systems outage, or other scenario as deemed appropriate by the incumbent’s supervisor. This may also require that the incumbent carry a mobile phone.
