Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to own architecture for large multi-workstream projects. You will plan and drive IT integrations, network and server deployments, and complex configurations across sites.

Lead a technical team, coordinate with IT operations, security and vendors, and report progress, risks, and resources to stakeholders. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 8 to 10 years of progressive infrastructure engineering with project delivery ownership.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% across the continental United States.
• Healthcare or MSP integration experience preferred.
• PCNSE, Aruba ACMA, VCP, or AZ-104 strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture for multi-workstream projects.
• Lead planning and execution of infrastructure workstreams including IT integrations and onboarding.
• Direct on-site and remote configuration work as technical lead during integrations.
• Coordinate with Service Delivery, IT Operations, Security, and vendors.
• Align engineering deliverables with project milestones and report risks and resources.
• Conduct technical risk reviews and map dependencies across workstreams.
• Mentor staff on architecture, standards, and delivery discipline.
• Represent Projects in IT strategy discussions and QBRs.
• Contribute to standards evolution from delivery learnings and post-project reviews.
• Maintain high-quality as-built documentation and clean handoffs.

Job description

• Own solution architecture for medium-to-large multi-workstream projects
• Lead planning and execution of infrastructure project workstreams, including practice IT integrations and onboarding, network refreshes, server and hardware installations, and telecom/ISP setup and migrations
• Serve as technical lead during new practice integrations, determining infrastructure readiness requirements and directing coordinated on-site and remote configuration work
• Coordinate with Service Delivery, IT Operations, Security, and vendors throughout project delivery
• Partner with IT Project Managers to align engineering deliverables with project milestones and provide updates on status, risks, blockers, and resource needs
• Conduct technical risk reviews and dependency mapping across workstreams
• Mentor Project Technicians and Project Engineer I staff on architecture, standards, and delivery discipline
• Represent the Projects team in practice IT strategy conversations and QBRs where applicable
• Contribute to standards evolution based on delivery learnings and post-project reviews
• Own as-built documentation quality and clean hand-offs to IT Operations and Service Delivery
• Partner with IT SMEs/Architects on complex or precedent-setting designs
• Travel frequently to practice sites in support of assigned projects
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the organization's mission

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• High school diploma or GED
• 8 to 10 years of progressive infrastructure engineering with project delivery ownership
• Healthcare or MSP integration experience preferred
• PCNSE, Aruba ACMA, VCP, or AZ-104 strongly preferred
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% throughout the continental United States
• Experience with Palo Alto, Aruba, VMware/vSphere, Microsoft Azure, Okta, Citrix, and ServiceNow is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with adaptability to changing priorities
• Multi-domain engineering across network, virtualization, identity, and cloud
• Proven experience deploying and configuring network switches, servers, firewalls, and endpoint devices
• Proficiency with technical project planning tools and IT documentation standards
• Project leadership and cross-functional influence
• Risk and dependency management for multi-workstream initiatives
• Executive-facing communication skills
