Company: Flow Control Group

About Us: Flow Control Group (FCG) is a leading provider of fluid handling, process, and industrial automation solutions across North America. We are a 100% employee-owned organization made up of over 2,000 team members and 95+ entrepreneurial brands—each empowered to think big, move fast, and bring innovative ideas to life. Our ownership mindset fuels a culture of pride, accountability, and exceptional customer service.

At FCG, we believe in the power of partnership and entrepreneurship. We work collaboratively across our brands to drive growth, unlock new opportunities, and deliver real impact for our customers. This unique model allows us to combine local expertise with national strength, creating a dynamic environment where creativity meets practicality.

This role is a critical, hands‑on technical resource on our Service Delivery team, bridging the gap between our frontline support and our senior engineering staff. The IT Project Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle management of our end‑user computing environment, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact for complex technical escalations and will have a heavy responsibility for the technical planning and integration of new business acquisitions. The role is critical to ensuring our employees have secure, reliable, and efficient tools, and will work to automate, streamline, and improve client systems management processes.

Key Responsibility Areas:
Project & M&A Integration
  • Lead the technical planning and execution of IT system integrations for newly acquired companies.
  • Perform domain migrations and account consolidations.
  • Oversee end-user device migrations and network infrastructure alignment.
  • Perform after‑hours and weekend work as needed to support critical cutovers and go‑live events during M&A projects.
Device Lifecycle Management
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy standardized operating system images for Windows and macOS environments using tools like Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot.
  • Manage the physical and virtual endpoint lifecycle from procurement and deployment to maintenance and retirement.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all client hardware and software assets.
Software Deployment & Application Management
  • Package, test, and deploy software applications, updates, and security patches to all managed endpoints.
  • Manage enterprise software licenses and ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Maintain the corporate software library and troubleshoot application deployment issues.
Endpoint Security & Patch Management
  • Administer the monthly patch cycle for operating systems and third‑party applications to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Manage and monitor endpoint security solutions, including anti‑virus/anti‑malware, disk encryption, and host‑based firewalls.
  • Ensure all endpoints comply with company security policies and respond to security incidents related to client systems.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage corporate‑owned and user‑owned mobile devices (iOS, Android) using a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platform like Microsoft Intune.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, manage applications, and secure corporate data on all mobile endpoints.
Support & Documentation
  • Serve as a Level 3 escalation point for the IT Service Desk and Field Service Engineers for complex endpoint‑related issues.
  • Independently manage and prioritize a personal ticket queue, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
  • Proactively monitor the health of the endpoint environment and generate reports on device compliance, patch status, and software deployment success.
Qualifications & Technical Experience
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of hands‑on experience in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or client systems administration.
  • Endpoint Management: Strong proficiency with modern endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot.
  • Operating Systems: In‑depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS operating systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Scripting & Automation: Crucial proficiency in PowerShell for tasks related to user management, data migration, and system configuration automation.
  • Microsoft Server & Active Directory: Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and Microsoft Entra ID. Experience with tools and processes for migrating users, groups, and permissions between domains is required.
  • Microsoft 365: Knowledge of tenant‑to‑tenant migrations, and expertise in migrating mailboxes, SharePoint data, and Teams configurations. Well‑experienced in the administration of Office 365 including email, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Mobile Devices: Experience managing iOS and Android devices with an MDM/UEM solution.
  • Server Virtualization: Experience in maintaining, supporting, and building virtual server environments such as VMWare, Hyper‑V, and Scale.
