Job summary

Evertec is seeking an IT & Operations Audit Expert to lead risk assessments, design the annual audit plan, and evaluate IT controls across the organization. You will collaborate with process owners to ensure corrective actions are taken and findings are reported to leadership.

The role requires 7+ years in IT auditing, knowledge of SOX, and strong communication with stakeholders. CISA is preferred. Join a team focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in IT auditing.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems and information security controls.
• Experience auditing regulatory frameworks such as SOX.
• Ability to design and execute audit plans and risk assessments.
• Strong skills in audit reporting, follow-up, and stakeholder communication.
• CISA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the comprehensive assessment of technology and operational risks.
• Act as a strategic advisor by communicating risks, trends, and opportunities to business leaders.
• Design, develop, and execute the annual IT & Operations audit plan.
• Define audit scope, objectives, and methodology for risk-based coverage.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of IT & Operations controls, including SOX.
• Collaborate with process owners to ensure corrective actions are implemented and followed up.
• Lead the preparation of audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, and best practices.
• Manage deviations, exceptions, and escalations related to internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement in audit methodologies, tools, and practices.
