Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks an IT Networking VoIP Engineer to support the DOE complex at Pantex in Amarillo, TX. The role focuses on administering Cisco UC platforms, voice infrastructure, and continuity of operations for critical missions.

The ideal candidate holds a TS or DOE Q clearance (or eligibility), U.S. citizenship, and 5+ years in enterprise voice/network environments. Onsite, full-time with strict security requirements and health-safety protocols are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise network and voice infrastructures.
• Must possess an active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance or DOE Q Clearance, or be eligible for reinstatement.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract security.
• Must pass federal background investigation for DOE Q clearance.
• Health & Safety training and client-driven drug testing are required.

Responsibilities

• Administer Cisco Unified Communications platforms including CUCM and Unity Connection.
• Perform voice user administration, MACDs (moves, adds, changes, deletions).
• Provision phones, users, hunt groups, and voicemail services within SLAs.
• Maintain 99.9% availability of Cisco UC applications and network infrastructure.
• Monitor system health, capacity, licensing, and trunk utilization.
• Manage Cisco TAC cases and provide root cause analysis for incidents.
• Maintain STIG compliance and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and prevent expirations.
• Administer voice gateways, dial plans, and call routing services.
• Support PBX-to-VoIP migration projects and phased cutovers.
• Maintain documentation, Visio diagrams, asset inventories, and SOPs.
• Provide network operations support for switches, F5 load balancers, and Infoblox.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and prevent service outages due to expiration.
• Administer voice gateways, dial plans, route patterns, translation patterns, and call routing services.
• Support PBX-to-VoIP migration projects and phased cutovers.
• Maintain documentation, Visio diagrams, asset inventories, and SOPs.
• Provide network operations support for switches, F5 load balancers, and Infoblox services.

Education and Licensure

• Bachelor’s degreein a related field and a minimum of5 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degreein a related field and a minimum of2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in lieu of education:A combination of10 or more years of relevant education, training, and/or professional experiencemay be considered in place of the degree requirement.
