• Document daily shift activities in reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper hand-off of outstanding issues.
• Assist with Continuity of Operations planning for outages and disaster recovery.
• Set up, configure, maintain, and resolve VoIP systems and equipment.

Job description

Bishop and Company is seeking qualified candidates for an on-site NetOps Specialist opportunity on KBAY. Secret Clearance, Security+, and Network+ required.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Respond to escalated incidents from triage through resolution, including command-level escalations, where appropriate.
• Respond to critical infrastructure repairs, including directing remote and virtual activities to maintain operational effectiveness for critical network services.
• Provide data center support and ongoing feedback where appropriate.
• Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools through an established log and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.
• Provide incident notification and ongoing updates Plan, oversee, and assist with Continuity of Operations on planned outage simulations and unforeseen events related to disaster recovery.
• Set up, configure, maintain, and resolve issues with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems and equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
• DoD Secret Clearance
• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA Network + or CCNA required within 6 months of start

The salary range for this position is typically $35 /hour to $40.50 /hour (including fringe). This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
