Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services, LLC seeks a full-time IT/ Network Simulator Technician to maintain a Navy training device. Responsibilities include startup/shutdown, routine maintenance, and liaison with Navy personnel.

Candidates should have 2+ years electronics maintenance or a two-year electronics program, be proficient with MS Word/Excel, and be prepared for security vetting. A US Passport and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years electronics maintenance or graduation from a two-year Electronics Technician program.
• Demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as an IT/Network Simulator or Electronic Technician.
• Experience operating computer equipment and proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to interface with U.S. Navy personnel and other contractors.
• Must possess a US Passport and valid driver's license.
• Position is contingent upon security vetting and Government approval.

Responsibilities

• Perform trainer system startup/shutdown with assistance.
• Perform maintenance on site training devices.
• Carry out daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance tasks.
• Interface with U.S. Navy Aircrew personnel and other contractors.
• Maintain records to document maintenance efforts.
• Assist Site Manager with logistics and site activities.
• Work with SMEs/Technicians and follow written/verbal English instructions.
• Perform janitorial services as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Valiant Integrated Services is looking for a full time IT/ Network SimulatorTechnician in a fast growing company with competitive pay and great benefits, including health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off and 401k. This position is for maintenance of a simulator training device used for the U.S. Navy F-18 program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform trainer system startup/shutdown asrequiredwithassistance.
• Perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance on all site training devicesin accordance withall applicable safety and maintenance documents.
• Perform daily, weekly,monthly,and annual periodic maintenance tasks.
• Ability to effectively interface/communicate with U.S. Navy Aircrew personnel and other contractors.
• Maintain records to document and support maintenance efforts.
• Keep the Site Managerinformedof training devices status and any on-goinglogisticsefforts.
• Assist Site Manager with logistic functions.
• Work collaboratively with SMEs and Techniciansrequires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
• Performjanitorial services on assigned spaces as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• An Information Assurance (IA) certification of CompTIA A+ is required; a Security + is desired.
• An approved Operating System Certification will be required within 6 months of hire.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years electronics maintenance or graduation from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute or the equivalent.

Demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as an IT/Network Simulator or Electronic Technician.

• Experience operating computer equipment and proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• W ill provide assistance in the use of LRC equipment, including audio/visual, podiums and projectors
• Able to identify computer and computer network systems failures.
• Be able to fabricate name placards utilizing large format printer.
• Possessthe ability to obtain a US Passport and must have andmaintaina valid driver's license.
• Position is contingent upon additional security vetting and Government approval.

Training or experience equivalency will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the Government.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb two (2) flights of stairs isrequired.

The actual pay rate will depend on the person's qualifications and experience. $35.00 - $45.00 / hour
