Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking an IT Network Engineer for our Sierra Vista, AZ office to provide direct C2C support on DoD networks. The role involves on-site work with occasional deployments at Army bases and a focus on troubleshooting, engineering, and ongoing development/operations for the C2C solution.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of DoD experience, holds or can obtain interim/secret clearance, and is proficient with TCP/IP networks, firewalls, and network access controls.

  • DoD 8570 IAT II
  • 15+ yrs. experience working in a DoD environment (Contractor/Civilian/Military)
  • Forescout Certified Engineer (FSCE)
  • Experience with Network Access Controls
  • Experience with projects across development lifecycles (analysis through implementation)
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize competing requirements
  • Proficient with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio
  • High attention to detail
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Networking, telecom, or application development, client/server, network and internet/web development experience
  • Apply IT industry standards to secure network environment
  • Experience creating and maintaining programmatic/technical documentation to manage configurations

Responsibilities

  • Provide Engineering support for Comply to Connect (C2C) on multiple DoD networks and classification domains
  • Establish and maintain network analysis and monitoring tools with health reporting and alerting
  • Recommend improvements to improve stability, availability, reliability and performance of networking infrastructure
  • Resolve complex networking and other technology issues with multiple parties
  • Develop process and architecture diagrams
  • Identify and provide SME on remediation/mitigation of all open findings from DISA STIGs
  • Provide program status reports and briefings to management and government oversight
  • Understand enterprise computing environments and TCP/IP networks including ASA, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Brocade switches
  • Advanced Administrator’s level knowledge of Linux/Windows/UNIX is a plus
  • Communicate clearly up and down the organization; prepare detailed issue/status reports
  • Work in a team-oriented environment and self-manage tasks for success
  • Support documentation for system configurations and change management

Everforth ECS is seeking an IT Network Engineer in our Sierra Vista, AZ office. This role is mostly supporting work in Sierra Vista, AZ, however, it will require occasional support for Deployment of Comply to Connect (C2C) at various Army bases, CONUS and OCONUS. We are seeking an IT Network Engineer to provide direct C2C support to our customer, on-site, with the customer daily. This role will require direct troubleshooting and information sharing when problems arise with C2C and/or dot1x authentication. Additionally, successful candidate will provide ongoing development and operations/maintenance of the C2C solution with the global team, with a focus on continual service improvement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide Engineering support for Comply to Connect on multiple DoD networks and classification domains
  • Establish and maintain network analysis and monitoring tools; including fine-tuning, health reporting and alerting
  • Make recommendations to optimize stability, availability, reliability and performance of networking infrastructure.
  • Resolve complex networking and other technology issues with multiple parties involved
  • Develop process and architecture diagrams
  • Identify and provide technical subject matter expertise on remediation and mitigation of all open findings from DISA STIGs
  • Provide program status reports and briefings to internal management, senior leadership and government oversight officials
  • Understanding of enterprise computing environments, distributed applications, and strong knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networks to include ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade switches
  • Advanced Administrator’s level of understanding of Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX) is a plus
  • Computer Networking Systems Administrator’s level Knowledge of all protocol layers
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking environments
  • Expertise in debugging and root-cause analysis in complex systems and large environments
  • Experience installing, implementing and debugging network access control security solutions
  • Experience with 802.1x network authentication
  • Understating of programming languages: C, Java, and Perl and/or Python a plus
  • This is a “hands‑on” position that requires someone who is capable of multi‑tasking. It requires an individual with a service‑oriented mentality that can focus and take ownership of assignments/issues and manage/resolve those issues.
  • Work well in a team oriented environment and be able to self‑manage their tasks to ensure success.
  • Communicate up and down within the organization; prepare detailed descriptions of issues, status updates, recommendations, and reports. Applicants must be organized with an eye for detail.
