Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp is seeking an IT Network Administrator in California to implement, maintain, and support its growing network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and monitoring systems. The role also covers racking and cabling equipment and collaboration with Systems, Security, Clinical Applications, and Data Engineering teams.

Minimum requirements include CCNA or higher, a Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field, and 3+ years of LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless

Qualifications

• CCNA or higher certification (CCNP preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 3+ years of LAN/WAN, MPLS, TACACS+, RADIUS, Wireless, and VPN experience.
• Experience with Palo Alto security appliances and Cisco FTD Firewalls (preferred).
• Experience with Cisco Routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches; Wireless Controllers (preferred).
• Experience with virtualization/cloud systems (VMware VSphere, Microsoft, Google Cloud).
• Experience with SolarWinds and Cisco DNAC for monitoring and management.
• Experience supporting high availability and DR environments.

Job Overview

The IT Network Administrator is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting AltaMed’s growing network infrastructure, including, but not limited to Firewalls, Switches, Routers, and monitoring systems. This position is responsible for racking/cabling equipment and assisting other teams, including Systems, Security, Clinical Applications, and Data Engineering.

Minimum Requirements

• CCNA or higher certification (CCNP preferred).
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related to the field required or equivalent years of experience.
• 3+ years of working knowledge deploying/maintaining LAN/WAN, MPLS, TACACS+, RADIUS, Wireless, and VPN.
• Experience with Palo Alto security appliances and Cisco FTD Firewalls (preferred).
• Experience with Cisco Routers, Catalyst switches, and Cisco Nexus switches.
• Experience with Wireless technologies with Cisco Wireless Controllers (preferred).
• Experience in virtualization and cloud systems (VMware VSphere, Microsoft, Google Cloud), (preferred).
• Experience with configuration and monitoring systems like SolarWinds, and Cisco DNAC.
• Experience supporting solutions with high availability and real-time monitoring.
• Experience building and managing DR environment.

Compensation

Compensation $100,682.25 - $125,852.83 annually

The range is subject to change.
