Harbinger is seeking an IT & MES Support Technician to directly assist our manufacturing operations on the factory floor. You’ll be the frontline IT resource, ensuring MES and production devices stay reliable in a fast-paced environment.

This onsite, first-shift role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys troubleshooting, end-user interaction, and exposure to manufacturing tech. Expect collaboration with production teams, engineers, and senior IT staff.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of Windows 10/11, PC hardware, and IT troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize requests in a fast-paced production env.
• Clear verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline IT support to operators and production teams on MES and floor tech.
• Troubleshoot, configure, repair, and deploy IT hardware on site.
• Diagnose basic Windows, hardware, app, and network issues and escalate when needed.
• Create and resolve support tickets with steps and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance and IT on recurring issues.
• Perform routine IT admin tasks including password resets and AD duties.
• Conduct preventative checks on factory IT equipment to prevent downtime.
• Support rollout of new hardware/software as production scales.

Position Overview

Harbinger is seeking an IT & MES Support Technician to provide hands‑on technical support for our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will serve as a frontline IT resource on the factory floor, helping ensure production systems, devices, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications remain operational and reliable.

This is an onsite, first‑shift position ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with end users, and gaining exposure to technology within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with production teams, engineers, maintenance, and senior IT staff to resolve issues, identify recurring problems, and support improvements to our manufacturing systems.

What You’ll Do

• Provide frontline technical support to operators, supervisors, and production teams experiencing issues with MES, traceability systems, or factory‑floor technology.
• Troubleshoot, configure, repair, and deploy IT hardware, including workstations, tablets, barcode scanners, label printers, thin clients, and other production devices.
• Diagnose basic Windows, hardware, application, and network connectivity issues and elevate more complex problems as needed.
• Create, triage, and resolve support tickets, including troubleshooting steps, root causes, and resolutions.
• Partner with process engineering, quality, maintenance, and IT teams to investigate recurring production‑system issues and support testing of new MES configurations and functionality.
• Perform routine IT administration, including password resets, user account support, and basic Active Directory tasks.
• Conduct preventative checks of critical factory‑floor IT equipment to identify potential issues before they disrupt production.
• Support the deployment and implementation of new hardware, software, and manufacturing technology as Harbinger’s production environment continues to scale.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows 10/11, PC hardware, and general IT troubleshooting.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical teams.
• Ability to work onsite during first shift, with occasional flexibility for early start times or shift‑crossover meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Previous experience or exposure to a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), manufacturing processes, or production traceability systems.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addresses, switches, and network connectivity.
• Experience with Active Directory, ticketing systems, or end‑user IT support.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite and requires regular presence on Harbinger’s manufacturing floor. The role involves walking and standing throughout the facility, communicating in an active production environment, and occasionally lifting or moving standard IT equipment such as monitors, printers, and workstations.
