Job summary

Job description

Position Overview

As the Technical Lead – Salesforce Commerce at a manager level, you will build and support innovative, integrated, scalable, and balanced system solutions aligned with our business and IT strategies. Your role will deliver insight, trusted advice, and the technical support and leadership needed to make efficient use of technology and information assets. You will work with the team to provide high quality code solutions to meet business needs in the implementation, enhancement, and support of the eCommerce platform and related marketing technology integrations. You should have knowledge of commerce development as well as using the platform to perform configuration, data and integration changes.

Responsibilities and Performance Requirements
  • Design, architect and support applications within the domain including eCommerce, payment solutions, third‑party integrations (including marketing technology integrations) for digital channels as well as related processes, enhancements, system upgrades, and projects.
  • Own the complete software lifecycle delivery including software and system architecture, technical design and development, documentation, testing and data migration solutions and deployments of business applications in your domain.
  • Understand requirements, read tasks, follow estimates, and assist in developing the code or configuration for assigned projects.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to development teams to ensure compliance with architecture development policies and standards.
  • Work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner, proposing alternatives and solutions aligned with requirements, objectives, and timelines and addressing issues facing the business.
  • Serve as liaison between the business and IT technical and development teams to document and convert business requirements into technology requirements.
  • Provide functional and technical application support for troubleshooting and resolving issues as required.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and directions to team members.
  • Manage internal or third‑party vendor technical resources in support of project or operational goals for your domain.
  • Independently drive design decisions to ensure the overall solution health.
  • Monitor applications and proactively identify performance or operational improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related discipline.
  • 5–7+ years of experience designing and implementing technology solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience on Salesforce Commerce Platform.
  • Experience integrating payment systems and marketing technology with eCommerce.
  • Hands‑on technical leadership experience.
  • Experience with system cutover and deployments.
  • Experience with various types of integration tools and integration methods.
  • Experience implementing and integrating cloud and on‑prem applications.
  • Experience leading production support teams.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to communicate at different levels within the organization.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance in your domain, including architecture decisions, technical design, and service introduction.
  • Customer‑focused mindset.
  • Self‑motivated with strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, including offshore.
  • Knowledge of managed service provider oversight.
  • One or more current Commerce Cloud B2C certifications (B2C Commerce Developer, B2C Technical Architect) preferred.
  • Preferred experience in the retail industry.

Pay Range

Annual Salary: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00. This position is eligible for an annual incentive compensation based on company performance.
