Job Posting Title IT Manager - Data & Analytics Platform Operations - Remote Job Description

The Manager, Data & Analytics Platform Operations is responsible for the leadership, governance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of enterprise data, analytics, reporting, integration, and data platform technologies. This role oversees day-to-day platform operations, service delivery, team management, capacity planning, and strategic platform modernization initiatives to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable services that support business objectives. The Manager partners with IT and business leaders, architecture, engineering, infrastructure, cloud, security, and vendors to align platform strategy with organizational priorities while driving efficiency, adoption, innovation, and business value. This role combines people leadership, technical expertise, governance, and strategic planning to ensure platform stability, compliance, modernization, and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities
  • Platform Operations & Service Delivery

    Lead daily operations and support for enterprise data, analytics, reporting, integration, and cloud data platforms. Ensure platform availability, performance, reliability, supportability, and scalability. Establish and monitor operational metrics, SLAs, KPIs, and service health dashboards. Manage incident response, problem management, root cause analysis, and operational recovery activities. Oversee platform upgrades, patching, maintenance planning, release management, and environment governance. Implement operational best practices for observability, monitoring, resilience, and service management. Ensure compliance with enterprise security, regulatory, audit, and operational standards.

  • Governance, Intake & Portfolio Management

    Manage demand intake processes, work prioritization, resource allocation, and operational planning. Establish governance frameworks, platform standards, documentation, controls, and operational procedures. Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans across supported platforms. Provide transparent executive reporting and operational performance updates. Partner with stakeholders to define priorities that align platform investments with business goals. Support capacity planning and workforce management to meet current and future business needs.

  • Team Leadership & Talent Development

    Lead and develop a team of engineers, administrators, platform specialists, and support personnel. Create a productive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and accountability. Establish clear objectives, performance expectations, and career development plans. Manage staffing, succession planning, and professional development initiatives. Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members using standardized performance metrics and feedback processes. Lead teams through changing priorities, large-scale initiatives, and modernization programs.

  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management

    Build strong partnerships with business leaders, product teams, and technology stakeholders. Facilitate engagement with internal and external customers to improve platform adoption, user experience, and service outcomes. Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, data engineering, security, architecture, and automation teams. Serve as the primary operational escalation point for platform-related issues and service improvements. Communicate platform roadmaps, operational status, risks, and modernization progress to leadership.

  • Strategy, Modernization & Continuous Improvement

    Support enterprise cloud transformation and data platform modernization initiatives. Identify opportunities to automate operational processes and improve service efficiency. Drive implementation of tools, methodologies, and practices that enhance platform reliability and productivity. Develop operational analytics and performance reporting to support data-driven decision making. Align platform strategy with organizational goals, industry best practices, compliance requirements, and emerging technologies. Champion innovation and continuous improvement across the Data & Analytics ecosystem.

  • Financial & Operational Accountability

    Manage budgets, vendor spend, licensing costs, and operational expenses associated with supported platforms. Monitor resource utilization and ensure effective allocation of people, technology, and financial resources. Ensure accountability for operational outcomes, platform investments, and modernization initiatives. Support business case development and planning for future platform enhancements and strategic investments. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED required
  • 6 years of years of Information Technology experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, business intelligence, integration, or data platform technologies
  • 2 years of leadership/people management experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise data and analytics ecosystems such as Big Query, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, Informatica, DataStage, SnapLogic, Qlik Replicate, Denodo, SAS, or similar platforms.
  • Experience leading cloud migration, platform modernization, and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, platform monitoring, and observability practices.
  • Experience in healthcare, PBM, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting distributed and remote technology teams.

Potential pay for this position ranges from $124,000.00 - $211,000.00 based on experience and skills.
