The Pivot Group Network is building a network of manufacturing-focused IT leaders in Allendale, Michigan. This IT Manager role supports multiple local manufacturers, focusing on infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP, and plant-floor systems to minimize downtime and enable continuous operations.

Responsibilities include budgeting, vendor coordination, staff leadership, and ensuring robust IT controls across on-site environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
Five or more years in IT support or administration, with some in manufacturing.
Experience with ERP systems used in production environments.
Working knowledge of network administration and Windows server environments.
Understanding of cybersecurity practices and backup and recovery.

Responsabilités

Support shop floor hardware including barcode scanners and terminals.
Plan and manage the IT budget and equipment purchases.
Troubleshoot system outages and reduce production downtime.
Document procedures and train staff on systems and security.
Oversee daily operation of servers, networks, and plant floor systems.
Manage ERP and manufacturing execution system support and upgrades.
Lead a small IT team and coordinate outside vendors.
Maintain cybersecurity controls and backup procedures.

Job Description:

IT Manager | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $91,000 – $138,000 depending on experience

Five or more years in IT support or administration, with some in manufacturing.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with manufacturing execution systems or SCADA.
Certifications such as CompTIA Network , Security , or Microsoft.
Experience with industrial networks and plant floor devices.
Familiarity with ITIL or structured service management.
Experience managing vendor contracts and budgets.
