IT Integration Support Subject Matter Expert
The Position:

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional with experience in technology transformation, systems integration, defined contribution retirement plans, and recordkeeping services to support the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board’s modernization and recompete of its recordkeeping services. The Integration Support Subject Matter Expert will provide specialized expertise in evaluating the current technology environment, aligning federal requirements with commercial recordkeeping practices, assessing risks, and supporting transition and integration planning across impacted stakeholders and systems. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills, as well as the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable recommendations. A successful candidate will collaborate with agency leaders, industry experts, and cross-functional teams to support a complex, long-term acquisition serving the nation’s largest defined contribution retirement plan. Responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Support the evaluation and planning of technology transformation, transition, and integration activities associated with the future recordkeeping environment.
  • Assess current-state technologies, business processes, systems, interfaces, and integration dependencies to inform future-state requirements.
  • Work with agency stakeholders and commercial and federal third parties to promote effective communication and coordination across impacted organizations.
  • Translate business, operational, security, and recordkeeping needs into clear technical and integration requirements.
  • Align applicable federal IT standards, rules, and regulations with commercial defined contribution and recordkeeping standards and practices.
  • Conduct technology research and analysis to evaluate potential solutions, emerging capabilities, industry trends, and implementation considerations.
  • Support the development of transition strategies, integration roadmaps, process flows, technical documentation, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, requirements-gathering sessions, process reviews, and technical working meetings.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support the development of security assessment reports, risk-mitigation strategies, and related documentation.
  • Identify integration risks, dependencies, gaps, and implementation challenges and communicate findings to agency and project leadership.
  • Collaborate with acquisition, cost-modeling, retirement-plan administration, and research teams to ensure technical considerations are incorporated into the broader acquisition strategy.

Some of the core qualifications for the role include:

Required:
  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 years of professional experience in IT research and analysis, technology consulting, systems integration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or advising large-scale business-process or technology-transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting complex system transitions and integrations involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret and align federal IT standards, rules, and regulations with applicable commercial technology standards and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments and developing security assessment reports.
  • Extensive technical knowledge in one or more relevant technology areas, along with strong business and technology strategy capabilities.
  • Proven ability to develop consensus and coordinate effectively among agency stakeholders, commercial partners, technical teams, and other third parties.
  • Strong project or program management, written communication, presentation, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting defined contribution retirement plans, recordkeeping platforms, or plan-administration systems.
  • Experience aligning federal IT requirements with commercial defined contribution and recordkeeping standards and practices.
  • Experience supporting technology transitions or integrations for large financial institutions, retirement systems, or managed-service environments.
  • Familiarity with recordkeeping operations, participant-facing technologies, customer-service platforms, cybersecurity, and data integration.

Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., a fantastic city for working professionals. We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.

The Fine Print
  • The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $165,000 depending on experience
  • Expected travel 0-10%; mayincrease based on business needs
  • This is an exempt, full-time position but open topart-time/contracted arrangements
  • This role is subject to a hybrid work schedule in the Washington D.C.
  • Essential Physical Functions

    • Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
