Job summary

SOHO Square Solutions is seeking an IT Infrastructure Project Manager in New York to lead electronic trading infrastructure projects. The role focuses on data centers, colocation, and new network services, coordinating hardware installs and cross-connects with network operations.

The candidate must have 12+ years in technology project management within finance, strong client-facing and cross-functional collaboration skills, and familiarity with Jira/ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of technology project management experience in financial services/firms/exchanges/colocation.
• Experience leading network infrastructure programs/projects at data centers or offices.
• Intermediate knowledge of LAN/WAN, carrier circuits, data centers.
• Experience coordinating with client-facing groups, market data teams and exchanges (NYSE, Nasdaq, BATS).
• Proven ability to coordinate with business, technology, operations and risk stakeholders.
• Familiar with network infrastructure, IT infrastructure and network architecture.
• Knowledge of Jira and ServiceNow workflow tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to influence at all levels.
• Independent self-starter capable of handling multiple parallel activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day and lifecycle activities for electronic trading infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate hardware installs, circuits, cross-connects and partner with network ops to test and turn up services.
• Lead calls, own project timelines, and ensure adherence to scope and milestones.
• Interface with data centers, colocation facilities and client connectivity teams.

IT / Infrastructure Project Manager [Financial Services only]-

Job Description

Our Client is seeking an infrastructure project manager from the financial services industry with experience in data center, real time market data, electronic trading and/or low latency network switch technology. The role will focus on critical day-to-day project management activities associated with the installation and coordination of new electronic trading infrastructure at Data Centers and Colocations, client connectivity and extranet services.

This role is hands-on, fast paced and a high-volume environment. As an IT project manager, you will be responsible for multiple ongoing projects throughout their execution cycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope and timeline. This role will focus on project lifecycle for electronic trading including hardware tracking, installation coordination of network equipment, circuits, cross-connects and partnership with network operations to test, turn up and operationalize new services into production. This role is not application focused but rather network infrastructure readiness.

Skills Required:

12 years of technology project management experience Financial services firm / industry / exchange / colocation

Experience leading network infrastructure programs/projects at Data Centers or offices

Intermediate-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, carrier circuits, data centers

Experience working with client-facing groups, market data teams and a full knowledge of exchanges [NYSE, Nasdaq, BATS.etc)Knowledge of working with data B2B providers like BT Radianz, and TNS.

Proven experience developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various Business, Technology, Operations, Control partners and stakeholders.

Familiar with network infrastructure, IT Infrastructure, and network architecture.

Knowledge and experience in workflow management software (e.g., Jira) and ServiceNow.

Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately.

Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.

Eagerness to learn the business and understand detailed requirements.

Experience working with cross functional teams, including Operations, Design/Arch Technology, Risk and Compliance.

Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio, and MS Teams.Qualifications:

Bachelors degree (preferred)

A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project management and product management in the finance and technology field.

Proven-related experience preferably in the financial services industry, Low Latency, Market Data and Trading Desk or management consulting.

CCNA a plus

PMP certification a plus

Previous experience with Kanban and Agile

New York Metro area required

On-site presence 3x per week in NYC
