Job Description
What you will need to do:
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop and execute short- and long-term infrastructure strategies that align with business growth, digital transformation, and sustainability goals.
- Lead the modernization of infrastructure towards a cloud-first, automated, and secure operating model.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to shape IT roadmaps and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Prepare and manage annual infrastructure budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiative
Infrastructure Design & Operations
- Oversee the design, deployment, and management of on-premises and cloud-based environments (Microsoft 365) including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and collaboration platforms.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of core systems (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, load balancers, etc.).
- Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics across all infrastructure services.
- Define and enforce standards for hardware, software, configuration, and architecture documentation.
- Drive infrastructure automation and orchestration initiatives using modern tools (e.g., IaC, scripting, monitoring platforms).
Security, Compliance & Continuity
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain robust infrastructure security, backup, and disaster recovery measures.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements for data privacy, system security, and service continuity.
- Proactively identify vulnerabilities and oversee remediation plans.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors, managed service providers (MSPs), and cloud partners.
- Lead RFPs, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations for infrastructure-related projects and services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure matters, ensuring transparent communication with executives, business units, and stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, network specialists, and system administrators.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop training and succession plans to ensure high technical competency and operational excellence.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Stay abreast of emerging infrastructure technologies, cloud advancements, and automation trends.
- Conduct feasibility studies and business cases for new solutions, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Champion sustainability, efficiency, and scalability in all infrastructure decisions.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience in Microsoft ecosystem environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune.
- Strong background in managing hybrid infrastructures (on-premises and cloud).
- Hands‑on experience with networking technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, firewalls, routing, switching).
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure project management, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Experience implementing and managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Strong knowledge of IT security principles, network segmentation, firewall management, and endpoint protection.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.
- Experience in monitoring and performance optimization tools.
- Microsoft Certifications will be considered an asset.
