E Tech Group in West Chester, OH is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to co-own and secure our core IT stack for ~900 users. You’ll manage Active Directory, Entra ID, VMware/Hyper‑V, Intune, and backup solutions while partnering with the IT team to deliver reliable services across the business.

You will contribute to identity management, endpoint protection, patching, scripting, and on-going improvements. Occasional after-hours work and site travel may be required.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Core technical experience with Active Directory, MS Operating Systems, VMware or Hyper-V, and backup systems (cloud, Windows, Linux, and virtual workloads).
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including conditional access and hybrid identity.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell for administration and automation.

• Manage Windows endpoints via Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Windows Autopatch; include profiles, compliance, and security tooling.
• Build, configure, monitor, and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper‑V environments; VM provisioning and capacity planning.
• Manage backup and recovery across on-prem, virtual, and cloud workloads; recovery validation.
• Administer email security and mail flow, including anti-phishing and anti-spam policies.

We're seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in running and securing the infrastructure our ~900 users depend on. This role co-owns the Microsoft 365 and on-premises infrastructure, including identity and endpoint management, security platforms, managing virtualization and backup systems, and partnering with the broader IT team to deliver reliable service to end users across the business. We value someone who takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through on issues from start to finish, and can independently prioritize and manage their work in a fast-moving environment.

This role reports onsite into West Chester, OH.

You will:

• Administer and maintain Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs, OUs, DNS, replication), including health checks, and migrations as needed.
• Manage identity and access in Microsoft Entra ID, including conditional access, MFA enforcement, role assignments, hybrid identity sync, and zero trust access models.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems, including patching, hardening, GPO development, PowerShell scripting, and lifecycle management.
• Manage Windows endpoints through Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Windows Autopatch, including configuration profiles, compliance policies, update rings, and endpoint security tooling.
• Build, configure, monitor, and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper‑V environments including host setup, cluster health, VM provisioning, snapshots, resource optimization, and capacity planning.
• Manage backup and recovery operations across on‑prem, virtual, and cloud workloads, including lifecycle management and recovery validation.
• Administer email security and mail flow, including anti‑phishing and anti‑spam policies, mail flow rules, and investigation of reported phishing.
• Apply Industry Best Practices and vendor hardening guides across systems and services.
• Work within the support ticketing system to respond to end‑user requests, manage queues, and meet SLAs.
• Serve as an escalation point for service desk technicians, providing mentorship and knowledge transfer.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to systems, security posture, and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the IT department and business objectives.

You have:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Core technical experience with Active Directory, MS Operating Systems, VMware or Hyper‑V, and backup systems (cloud, Windows, Linux, and virtual workloads).
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including conditional access and hybrid identity.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell for administration and automation.
• Experience working within a support ticketing system - responding to end‑user requests and supporting the team with escalations.
• Experience with email security platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Proofpoint, or similar.
• Familiarity with security best practices and hardening standards such as CIS Benchmarks.
• A collaborative approach and a habit of sharing what you know.
• Ability to work occasional after‑hours maintenance windows and travel between company sites as needed.

You may have:

• Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
• Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Windows Autopatch.
• Experience supporting CMMC or NIST SP 800-171 environments.
• Workflow automation tools such as Power Automate or n8n.
