United States Army Reserve seeks an Information Technology Specialist to maintain, process, and troubleshoot military computer systems and operations. Enlistment is required, with Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training provided by the Army to learn the job and obtain certifications.

Responsibilities include maintaining networks, hardware and software, providing customer and network administration services, and constructing, editing, and testing computer programs.

This is a job skill that is performed in the US Army or Army Reserves as a Soldier. Enlisting is required and will undergo pre-qualifying questions, an interview, an academic test, and a physical. This is an initial entry job skill, no experience necessary. The US Army will send you to school to learn the job and get the necessary certifications.

Information technology specialists are responsible for maintaining, processing, and troubleshooting military computer systems/operations.

Ages

17-34; 35-39 Requires a Waiver.

Training

Job training for an information technology specialist requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction.
