Ulta Beauty is seeking an IT Engineer, Cloud Platforms in Bolingbrook, IL. The role focuses on building and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure and services to support application modernization.

The engineer will design, implement, and automate cloud workloads, working closely with product teams and peers across IT to ensure scalable, reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in IT/Development or related.
• 5+ years cloud management focusing on Azure and GCP; experience with cloud platform automation using Argo/Airflow, CI/CD; Windows and Linux servers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monitoring/alerting solutions for cloud platforms using SolarWinds, DataDog, Dynatrace.
• Collaborate with Product teams to support application modernization and service delivery.
• Work with architecture/engineering to implement scalable systems and microservices.
• Design/instrument infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Identify/troubleshoot issues to meet product specs.
• Automate cloud onboarding and management activities across the org.

TITLE

IT Engineer, Cloud Platforms

HOURS

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES

• Deliver on monitoring and alerting solutions for cloud platforms leveraging tools such as Solarwinds, Data Dog, Dynatrace.
• Partner with cross functional Product teams to ensure delivery of services to support application modernization and adoption.
• Work with architecture and engineering teams to implement scalable systems, services and microservices.
• Design and deliver infrastructure-as-code (IAC) using Terraform.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues to ensure systems meet the specifications of the Product teams.
• Standardize and automate cloud onboarding and cloud management activities across.
• Assist in identifying and guiding public cloud migration opportunities across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related.
• Five (5) years in any occupation with experience in IT, Development, or related.
• Five (5) years in any occupation with experience in IT, Development, or related must include: Five (5) years cloud management with a focus on Azure and GCP. Five (5) years delivering on cloud platform automation solutions. Experience must also include: Experience with operation automation tools such as: Argo/Airflow; CI/CD methodology; Experience communicating with internal/external customers, vendors, management in both formal and informal situations; Windows server and Linux server; and Ansible and Terraform.

SALARY

$125,236.80 - $126,236.80 per year

The pay range for this position is $125,236.80 - $126,236.80 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
