Job summary

Tulip Interfaces is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support and evolve identity and access management and global network infrastructure. The role blends hands‑on IT engineering with strategic projects, balancing day‑to‑day support and longer‑term IT initiatives.

You will shape security controls, device management, monitoring, and automation across a hybrid work environment, contributing to a resilient, scalable IT foundation.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in IT engineering, system administration, and network management.
  • Solid understanding of identity and access management (single sign‑on, multi‑factor authentication, directory services, device trust) and enterprise device management across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
  • Strong networking and security fundamentals: enterprise Wi‑Fi, VPN, network hardware, and IT security best practices.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, and AI tools.
  • Nice to have: infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform), cloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure, or similar).
  • Nice to have: compliance experience (SOC 2, NIS2) and high‑growth startup experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience

Responsibilities

  • Administer and improve identity and access management systems, including authentication policies, device trust, and automated onboarding and offboarding for accurate, timely access.
  • Manage office network infrastructure (secure wireless, VPN, and hardware) across global offices, and implement security controls that protect the network and connected systems.
  • Oversee the device management platform, keeping configurations and policies consistent across device types and the full device lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerting for critical IT systems (identity, devices, network, and core SaaS), with centralized alerting and runbooks so any team member can triage independently.
  • Manage automation and infrastructure‑as‑code, using AI tooling to reduce toil, and audit backup coverage and develop disaster recovery plans, including runbooks and tabletop exercises.
  • Lead the IT roadmap, from project execution to stakeholder communication, while handling IT support requests when needed, turning recurring issues into systemic improvements, and keeping IT documentation current.

About You
