Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, storage and networking.
• Deploy, maintain and optimize EDA environments for RFIC and semiconductor design.
• Collaborate with Managed Service Provider to troubleshoot issues.
• Administer Cadence design tools and related toolchains
• Manage EDA license servers and license utilization
• Maintain Linux-based compute clusters for simulation and verification
• Optimize compute infrastructure for EDA workloads
• Develop scripts and automation to improve reliability and efficiency
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python, Bash, or similar tools
• Manage authentication, backups, and disaster recovery
• Support internal teams with infrastructure needs

Falcomm is seeking an IT/EDA Systems Engineer who will sit at the intersection of IT infrastructure, Linux engineering environments, and semiconductor design toolchains. A successful candidate will oversee the reliability and scalability of enterprise infrastructure while supporting EDA tools, simulation clusters, and Linux compute environments used by engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization environments
• Deploy, maintain, and optimize EDA environments used for RFIC and semiconductor design
• Collaborate with the external Managed Service Provider (MSP) to maintain IT systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of support tickets
• Administer Cadence design tools and related toolchains
• Manage EDA license servers and license utilization
• Maintain Linux-based compute clusters used for simulation and verification
• Optimize compute infrastructure for EDA simulation workloads
• Manage Linux infrastructure (RHEL / Ubuntu / CentOS) supporting engineering teams
• Maintain high-performance storage systems used for design data
• Develop scripts and automation to improve infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency
• Automate system provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python, Bash, or similar tools
• Maintain corporate IT infrastructure including servers, networking, and cloud services
• Manage authentication systems, backups, and disaster recovery
• Support internal teams with infrastructure needs
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related field
• 3-5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure or engineering compute environments
• Strong Linux system administration experience
• Experience supporting EDA tools
• Experience managing software license servers
• Strong understanding of:
• Networking

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience supporting RFIC, ASIC, or semiconductor design teams
