Oversee the administration, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise technology systems, including in-house and third-party software applications, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), the County website, document management systems, and the VoIP telephone system. Authorizes purchases, monitors expenditures, and makes recommendations for budget modifications or additional funds.Maintains a broad base of knowledge in hardware, software, network, cybersecurity, GIS, web, and phone equipment to identify potential use of new/enhanced technology throughout the County.Studies current computer applications and potential new system possibilities. Identifies weaknesses in current systems and potential efficiencies realized by new systems. Considers acquisition of new equipment and/or software for specialized applications as appropriate.Attends work-related meetings, conferences and seminars.
