Job summary

BlueWater Federal is seeking a Junior IT Design Engineer to support the Arnold Engineering Development Complex at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. You will design and maintain IT, networking, security, voice, video, and data systems following DoD and AF standards.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, an active Secret clearance, familiarity with Air Force policies, and the ability to develop plans, SOWs, and manage projects.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 3+ years of experience supporting communications and IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of AF/DoD standards and policies.
• Familiarity with CIPS Work Planning Process per AF directives.
• Understanding of DoD systems engineering approach to project planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve BWDS cable plant infrastructure and documentation.
• Provide monthly Fiber Testing Plan and Schedule for CORs and testing requirements.
• Support design, systems engineering, and project execution for AF Base IT/communications.
• Plan, program funding, manage project controls, and support IT/communications projects.
• Develop Work Plans or SOWs to plan and schedule efforts beyond current scope.
