Job summary

Avanti’s Ristorante is hiring an IT & Data Analyst to combine hands-on IT support, Toast POS maintenance, data analysis, and restaurant operations to keep our locations running smoothly.

You’ll troubleshoot devices and networks, analyze labor costs, menu performance, and sales trends, and build reports that help managers understand performance. A degree is not required if you have the skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and software in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Proficient with MS Excel and data interpretation for business decisions.
• Experience with Toast POS administration or support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot computers, printers, POS equipment, and network issues.
• Support and maintain Toast POS including reporting and configuration.
• Analyze sales, labor, menu, and operational data to identify trends.
• Build reports to help managers understand restaurant performance.
• Analyze labor costs, menu pricing, and profitability.
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to reduce costs.
• Assist with IT projects, equipment installation, and IT needs.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

Avanti’s Ristorante is looking for an IT & Data Analyst to help keep our restaurants running smoothly and use our data to make better business decisions.

This is a hands-on position that combines IT support, Toast POS, data analysis, and restaurant operations. One day you may be troubleshooting a Toast issue or helping with a computer or network problem; the next, you may be analyzing labor costs, menu performance, or sales trends.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with technology, and figuring out what the numbers are telling us.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot computers, printers, POS equipment, internet/network issues, cameras, and other technology.
• Support and maintain our Toast POS system, including troubleshooting, menu changes, user access, reporting, and system configuration.
• Work with technology vendors when issues require additional support.
• Analyze sales, labor, menu, and operational data.
• Build reports that help managers and leadership understand restaurant performance.
• Analyze menu item sales, pricing, food cost, and profitability.
• Analyze labor costs, staffing levels, overtime, and sales per labor hour.
• Identify trends, inefficiencies, and unusual changes in the data.
• Compare performance between locations, shifts, days, and time periods.
• Help leadership understand why something is happening, not just what happened.
• Look for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist with technology projects, equipment installation, cameras, wiring, and other IT needs as necessary.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

• A problem solver who enjoys figuring things out.
• Comfortable working with both technology and numbers.
• Experienced with Toast POS or another restaurant POS system.
• Strong in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data.
• Able to look at a spreadsheet and recognize trends, problems, and opportunities.
• Comfortable troubleshooting technology and helping non-technical employees.
• Able to explain technical or analytical information in a way that makes sense to restaurant managers.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of problems.

Preferred Experience

• Toast POS administration or support
• Restaurant operations
• Data analysis or business reporting
• Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar Business Intelligence (BI) tools
• SQL or database experience
• Networking, POS hardware, cameras, or other IT support
• Labor, food cost, menu, or restaurant financial analysis

A degree is not required if you have the skills and experience to do the job.
