Cybersecurity Jobs is seeking an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Infosec) to lead the Systems Administration team within the Infrastructure Branch of the Digital Engineering Division at NAVAIR. You will act as the primary SME and provide technical oversight across the systems estate, shaping digital transformation initiatives.

Based in Lakehurst, NJ onsite, the role leads a team, collaborates with the Chief Engineer and mission partners, and guides architecture and development of new technology

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and technical oversight for the Systems Administration team.
• Establish and communicate team goals, delegate complex technical tasks, and set deadlines to maintain alignment with branch objectives.
• Serve as the primary System Administration technical SME at lab meetings, site surveys, and planning sessions.
• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer, fellow team leads, and mission partners to architect and develop new technology solutions that support the division’s Digital Transformation and Digital Engineering efforts.
• Conduct regular team meetings to share information, assign and review tasking, and support a collaborative environment.
• Mediate and resolve internal conflicts to maintain team cohesion and productivity.

Job description

This role is responsible for leading systems administration activities within NAVAIR’s Operations Department, specifically the Infrastructure Branch of the Digital Engineering Division. You will provide technical oversight, act as the primary System Administration SME, and coordinate with engineering leadership and mission partners to support ongoing digital transformation.

Role Overview

As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Infosec), you will serve as a Lead System Administrator within the Infrastructure Branch of the Digital Engineering Division. The position includes direct leadership of the Systems Administration team and technical accountability for systems administration efforts. You will represent the team as the primary System Administration technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and collaborate to architect and develop new technology solutions aligned with division objectives.

Compensation

Estimated salary range: USD 105,481 - 163,062 per year
