Selective Insurance invites you to join the Ignite Internship program for summer 2027 at our Short Hills, NJ corporate office. This 11-week, full-time internship provides a glimpse into the insurance world with on-the-job assignments, team projects, and exposure to senior leadership and a community volunteer day.

You'll join the Customer Experience & Mobility team, contribute to the MySelective mobile app/website and drive digital service improvements, while gaining cross-functional exposure in

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support application solutions, providing production support and managing application operations.
• Monitor and manage IT infrastructure, including tools, databases, and end-user computing services.
• Actively manage and monitor cybersecurity tools and systems, identifying and escalating security risks.
• Ensure adherence to IT standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members and leaders to support business processes and resolve issues.
• Work cross-functionally on an Action Learning Project.

The Ignite Internship Program is an 11-week, full-time experience that offers a sneak peek into the world of insurance. Level up your skills and knowledge by diving into your business area of choice.

Who knew insurance mobile apps were exciting? We're looking for candidates who love mobile technology, innovation and great experiences to share their perspectives and help shape our customers' experiences. The Customer Experience & Mobility team is responsible for the continuous improvement of the MySelective mobile app/website, Voice of the Customer and Proactive Communications program. We also drive, track, and measure the adoption, utilization and financial impact of digital services. Our team works in depth with many other departments including Information Technology, Business Services Unit, IT and Marketing which gives interns exposure to other departments and functions. Please note, this is a hybrid position, therefore, applicants must be within commuting distance of our location in Short Hills, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support application solutions, providing production support and managing application operations;

• Or actively manage and monitor cybersecurity tools and systems, identifyingand escalating security risks.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Requirements

• Must be a current college student majoring in Computer Science or a related field to qualify (rising juniors and seniors, preferred).

• College credit can be earned depending on your institution's requirements.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma required. Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level.

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.

Pay Range

USD $25.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.
