Job summary
Community College of Allegheny County seeks an instructor in Computer & Information Technology for regular full-time, 10-month teaching at the Main Campus. The role focuses on teaching, curriculum development and student success within a comprehensive IT program.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field with expert knowledge across networks, OS, cybersecurity, programming and web development, and will demonstrate effective communication for varied course
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Science, Computer Science or a related technology field.
- Expert level knowledge in technologies such as networks, operating systems, cybersecurity, programming and web development.
- Strong communication skills for teaching traditional, remote and hybrid courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach and develop curriculum.
- Create and deliver learning experiences to achieve learning outcomes.
- Employ teaching strategies for an engaging learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback for growth.
- Maintain weekly office hours as required by the CBA.
- Participate in program review and strategic planning.
- Engage in professional development and integrate educational technology.
- Perform other duties per the CBA.
