Job summary

Welltower Inc. is hiring an IT Auditor to join the internal audit team. You will test IT general and application controls, assess risk, and help drive the annual audit plan across business segments, locations, and functions.

You will work with the audit team to plan engagements, gather evidence, and resolve issues, while supporting external auditors as needed. Travel up to 10–20% is expected, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in public accounting, internal audit or Information Technology role.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems or related discipline.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CPA, CIA, CISSP, CISA) or strong desire to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance over financial reporting integrity by evaluating IT general controls (ITGC) and IT application controls (ITAC).
• Review evidence and draw conclusions on design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Assist audit planning, risk assessment and scoping with the team.
• Support IT audit manager with planning, training, updates, and report prep.
• Execute assigned sections of the audit work plan and identify control gaps.
• Analyze operational and financial data and compare management explanations to results.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit procedures.
