Job summary

Penn Mutual is seeking an IT Audit Manager to evaluate cybersecurity, technology, and operational risks, and to design and lead complex IT audits across the enterprise. The role offers a flexible, hybrid work approach and exposure to Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and its subsidiaries.

The position requires seven plus years in IT audit, strong IT controls knowledge, and a path to CISA certification. Base salary range is $135,000–$155,000 with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute IT risk-based audits end-to-end (planning, execution, reporting).
• Test IT general controls (ITGCs) and key IT risks across systems.
• Manage IT Continuous Audit testing including risk assessment and workpaper reviews.
• Support external stakeholders (e.g., Financial Statements Audit).
• Lead advisory projects and department initiatives as assigned.
• Communicate IT issues, impacts and solutions to partners and leadership.
• Evaluate new technologies (cloud, AI, cybersecurity) and their impact on controls.
• Maintain relationships with team and business partners; stay aligned with strategic goals.

Job Description: The IT Audit Manager role is responsible for evaluating cybersecurity, technology and other operational risks as well as testing related mitigating controls. The IT Audit Manager is responsible for designing and leading complex IT Audits, supporting Integrated Audits and overseeing IT Continuous Audit testing. This role will work across the enterprise, offering exposure to the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and its subsidiaries, which include Broker Dealers, Asset Managers and other Life Insurance Companies. Responsibilities

• Lead and execute IT Risk-Based Audit engagements from end-to-end, including planning, execution and reporting.
• Partner with operational audit team members to test ITGCs and key IT risks over key systems within operational audits.
• Manage IT Continuous Audit testing, including risk assessment, design of testing procedures and workpaper review.
• Support external stakeholders through IT Audit testing and coordination (e.g. Financial Statement Audit support).
• Perform and manage advisory projects and other department initiatives as assigned.
• Effectively communicate & manage identified IT issues, their impacts and potential solutions to business partners and Enterprise Leadership.
• Evaluate new technologies (e.g., cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity) and their impact on IT controls and organizational risk profile.
• Build/maintain relationships and partner with team members, key business partners and other second line functions along with staying current on IT business initiatives, strategic goals & emerging risks.

Education

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems or equivalent

Experience

Seven plus years of actual IT audit and/or IT experience in information security/cybersecurity, systems engineering or IT operations (infrastructure, networking)

Licenses

CISA or equivalent a plus (one is required to be obtained within first two years of employment); other industry certifications to be determined as needed

Base Salary Range

Base Salary Range - $135,000 -$155,000
