Job summary

Castro & Company in Alexandria, VA seeks an IT Audit Manager to lead federal IT audit engagements and support our mission. You will supervise staff, coordinate with clients, evaluate ITGCs against NIST standards, and drive quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a business-related field, 5+ years' IT/audit experience, and CISA or CISSP; US citizenship and security clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience (at least 2 years performing IT testing in support of a financial statement audit and/or FISMA audit).
• CISA and/or CISSP certification.
• Experience leading IT audits, walkthroughs, and documenting IT audit work papers and deliverables.
• Experience coaching and developing staff and senior-level team members.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• FISMA/audit experience in support of a Financial Statement Audit preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PowerApps experience preferred.
• Security clearance: US citizenship required.

• Leading client meetings, including executive briefings, and coordinating action items.
• Evaluating IT General Controls using NIST 800-53, CSF, and RMF.
• Leading and coaching staff and senior-level team members.
• Leading IT and cybersecurity audits in accordance with GAGAS.
• Analyzing data and creating outputs that summarize client’s IT and cybersecurity posture.

What will you do in this role:

• LeadingIT/FISCAM and FISMAAuditengagementsby completing assigned engagement tasks within the project scope and budget, while meeting deliverable requirements
• Leading client meetings (to include Executive-level briefings) and coordination/oversight with action items
• Evaluating IT General Controls (ITGCs)using NIST standards and frameworks – to include NIST 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Leading and coaching Staff and Senior level team members
• Leading ITandcybersecurity auditsin accordance withGovernment standards (Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS))
• Analyzingdata and creatingoutputs that summarize client’s ITand cybersecurity posture

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degreeinbusiness-related field
• Must have a minimum 5Yearsexperiencewith related work(at least 2 yearsperformingIT testing in support of a financial statement audit and/or FISMA Audit)

• Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)and strong experience with Microsoft PowerApps is preferred
• Security Clearance:Must be able to pass a basic government suitability check (US Citizenshiprequired)

Salary Range:

$115K-$140K

Final compensation will bedeterminedbased on a range of factors, including relevant experience, education, work location, security clearance level, certifications, and other factorspermittedby applicable law. Salary ranges listed reflect the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
