Job Summary:

Supervises a group of individuals involved in the development, support, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintaining, and installing of business applications programs.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical advice, code reviews and assistance to other programmers.
• With limited supervision, prepares test plans and/or detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written, they may be highly complex.
• Writes programs that interface with external systems and equipment.
• Develops/maintains computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data and information.
• Writes programs that involve multiple, complex screens, interfaces, tables and outputs.
• Writes complex, optimized data extracts, updates and interfaces.
• Designs and codes basic screen functionality.
• Interfaces with functional specialists to ensure solution design and integrity.
• Understanding of complex table joins and advanced programming concepts.
• Solid understanding of functional integration points, entity relationships and module flows.
• Devises sample input data to test accuracy of program.
• Resolves questions of program intent, input data acquisition, time sharing, output requirements, coding use and modification, and inclusion of internal checks/code reviews for system integrity.
• Observes or runs test of program using sample or actual data, assist in user acceptance training.
• Participates in the roll out and on time delivery of developed applications.
• Maintains a working knowledge of advancing technologies.
• Identifies applicable solutions and implement with existing networks when appropriate.
• Works seamlessly with all IT Teams to ensure high standard of IT support at all levels.
• Maintains and develops documentation for responsible area.
• Prepares and provides status updates of assigned project plans and schedules.
• Maintains positive relations with all employees encouraging them to suggest ways of improving IT systems.
• Recommends/conducts training.
• Organizes verbal and written ideas clearly, use appropriate business style.
• Identifies creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
• Drives continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
• Offers new ideas and suggestions for improvement.
• Identifies and implements new practices and processes that are "best in field".
• Exchanges knowledge and information with other iQor facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the organization while maintaining discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to iQor or customer specific.
• Works effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
• Must be proficient and knowledgeable in all areas related to the IT department functions.
• Provides off-Hours 24/7 Support as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills Requirements:

• 7 or more years of experience. Must be knowledgeable in 1 or more of iQor's software programs or packages.
• Knowledge of RDMS and SQL.
• Organizational skills.
• Good logical, analytical and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Good working knowledge of standard computer operating systems, i.e. Microsoft, Unix.
• Understands object oriented concepts.
• Understanding of database objects, tables, views, keys, indexes, stored procedures.
• Understands software design methodologies.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, Trade/Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or computer related discipline required.

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally exert up to 10 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or otherwise move objects. Have visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data; and/or viewing a computer terminal. Type and/or sit for extended periods of time.
