Job summary

Poly6, an innovative aerospace manufacturing company, is seeking an IT Analyst to ensure IT systems reliability across a fast‑paced environment. The role supports end‑user devices, business apps, and access management while aligning with QMS and IT security requirements.

The ideal candidate will configure hardware/software, resolve issues, manage onboarding/offboarding, and assist with SQL scripting and automation. On‑site Burlington, MA location with growth opportunities.

Job Summary

The IT Analyst provides the reliability of IT systems across a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment while supporting the day‑to‑day technical support for end‑user devices, business applications, and user access while supporting . This role installs, configures, and maintains hardware, software, and productivity systems; resolves support issues; leads onboarding and offboarding; and ensures compliance with IT security and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. In addition, the IT Analyst may assist with basic infrastructure support, SQL scripting, database tasks, and small application or automation initiatives. The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn modern tools, including application development and AI‑enhanced technologies, as Poly6 continues to scale and innovate in the aerospace market.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain end‑user devices, peripherals, operating systems, and business applications in compliance with security and QMS requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and access issues for on‑site and remote users.
• Log, track, and resolve service requests while maintaining clear communication and meeting service level expectations.
• Lead employee onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning accounts, configuring devices, and coordinating access with HR and managers.
• Manage user access for Microsoft 365 distribution groups and collaboration tools, escalating non‑standard or security‑sensitive requests to Corporate IT.
• Maintain accurate documentation for IT assets, SOPs, work instructions, and user guides to support operational consistency and audit readiness.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, process gaps, or opportunities to improve system performance and user experience.
• Work cross‑functionally with production, engineering, quality, and administrative teams to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.
• Assist Corporate IT with infrastructure tasks such as server updates, network troubleshooting, monitoring tools, and system health checks as needed.
• Conduct basic database or SQL activities such as running queries, supporting data integrity checks, or generating operational reports.
• Develop or maintain simple scripts or tools (PowerShell, Python, SQL, etc.) to automate tasks, enhance reporting, or improve support efficiency.
• Support small software or application development efforts, contributing testing, documentation, or light coding as skills develop.
• Participate in evaluating or implementing AI‑enabled tools, automation platforms, or modern productivity technologies.
• Promote a positive, service‑oriented culture by communicating professionally and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Follow all safety rules, PPE policies, and QMS requirements when working in production or laboratory environments.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control laws (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply ITAR.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in an IT help desk, technical support, or related role; manufacturing or regulated industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Experience supporting export control version of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, basic networking, and endpoint management tools
• Experience with or willingness to learn SQL queries, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python), or database concepts.
• Experience with ticketing systems, asset tracking, and user account management
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, basic networking, and endpoint management tools.
• Understanding of SOPs, documentation control, and change management concepts in a regulated environment.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow all PPE safety rules and policies such as wearing safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coats, or other required protective equipment when applicable.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to meet business deadlines and service expectations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a customer‑service mindset.
• Foundational understanding of SQL, scripting, automation, or application development concepts (or willingness to learn).
• Interest in or exposure to software development, automation tools, or AI‑enabled technologies.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing while working at a computer
• Frequent use of computer screens and standard office equipment
• Occasional lifting of IT equipment (up to 25 lbs.)
• Intermittent travel up and down stairwells and between office and production areas

Work Environment

• Location: On‑site in Burlington, MA
• Travel: Occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required for coordination between Poly6 Cleveland site.
• Schedule: Full‑time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to support production schedules or critical IT needs.
• Work Style: Primarily office‑based with periodic time spent on the production floor to support users and systems.

This position may interact with equipment in laboratory or production areas where flammable liquids, corrosive substances, or dusts (including silica‑containing materials) are present in controlled environments. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and training are provided. Respirator use may be required; employees must be able to complete medical clearance and fit testing.
