Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and Teacher Certification required.
• 3 years experience as a Classroom Teacher.
• Additional criteria as established by the School Board.

Responsibilities

• Investigates reasons for referrals.
• Contacts parents of students referred to the ISSP classroom.
• Refer students to Guidance Counselor to assess problem type.
• Determine appropriate action for behavior modification.
• Complete ISSP and discipline forms as needed.
• Coordinate with Teachers for ISSP assignments and records.
• Monitor ISSP students during lunch and attend to needs.
• Communicate with teachers, administration and staff regarding students.
• Prepare materials for expulsion hearings and Saturday detention.
• Provide courteous service to students, parents and staff and schedule conferences.
