Job summary

Dell Information Systems Security Officer - Federal Customer in Chantilly, VA is an on-site leadership role responsible for establishing and sustaining security, compliance, and governance for mission delivery in a classified environment.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, risk management, and strong collaboration with engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure audit readiness and continuous monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity compliance and information assurance roles.
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53 and security control implementation.
• Experience producing security documentation and compliance artifacts.
• Strong communication and issue-management skills.
• Ability to operate in a classified environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support information assurance, compliance, and security governance processes.
• Maintain security documentation, plans, controls, and program records.
• Coordinate audits, inspections, assessments, and remediation activities.
• Track POA&Ms, findings, exceptions, and corrective actions through closure.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure compliance obligations.
• Support continuous monitoring, risk management, and policy enforcement.
• Provide status reporting and recommendations to leadership.
• Promote security awareness and procedural compliance.
