Job summary

A technology and security solutions provider is seeking a poly cleared Information System Security Officer for a complex HPC environment in Maryland. Responsibilities include supporting security operations aligned with RMF, managing security authorization artifacts, and maintaining compliance. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in a similar role, familiarity with NIST controls, and a current TS/SCI clearance. This is a full-time on-site position in Laurel, MD.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience and a BS in computer science, IT, or related technical discipline.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
• 4+ years of experience supporting DoD/IC or government systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the system security lifecycle across development, operations, and modernization.
• Execute and maintain RMF activities.
• Maintain security authorization artifacts such as SSP and contingency artifacts.

Skills

Experience with DoD/IC or government systems

Hands-on experience executing RMF tasks

Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls

Experience with vulnerability and configuration compliance workflows

Familiarity with Linux environments

Ability to communicate risk clearly

Strong documentation discipline

Active TS/SCI security clearance

Education

BS in computer science, IT, or related technical discipline

MS in relevant field

eMASS or comparable GRC tooling

Vulnerability tooling
