Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support security and information assurance activities for Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring TS/SCI access and Security+ certification.

The ISSO will develop, implement, and oversee an IA program, ensure compliance with Air Force and DoD directives, and provide training and documentation for certified systems connected to the Hanscom Network. US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in information security supporting a DoD program.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; additional years may substitute for degree.
• Must be Security+ certified and hold TS/SCI clearance.
• Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and Federal cybersecurity directives.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. citizen with eligibility for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain IA program that identifies IA requirements, personnel, processes, and procedures.
• Supervise the customer organization’s IA program.
• Implement and enforce Air Force IA policies and procedures.
• Comply with the installation WCSO policy and direction.
• Ensure all users have requisite security clearances and awareness of IA responsibilities before access to Air Force information systems.
• Ensure IA refresher training is conducted annually.
• Develop and maintain C&A documentation for Hanson Hanscom Network-connected systems.
