URSA Mobile, Inc. seeks an IT Specialist / Cybersecurity SME to serve as ISSM and ISSO for a cleared contract in the National Capital Region. You will manage classified networks, maintain RMF documentation and drive compliance across the system lifecycle.

Qualified candidates have DoD experience, relevant certifications (IAT II or higher) and TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it within 60 days. This is a full-time, on-site role in the NCR area with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity or related field.
• 7+ years IT experience, incl. 4+ years in a classified DoD network environment (NIPR/SIPR/JWICS).
• DoD 8570.01-M / 8140 IAT Level II certification at assignment.

Job description

URSA Mobile, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting the Department of War with cleared subject-matter experts. We are hiring an IT Specialist / Cybersecurity SME to serve as ISSM and ISSO for a newly awarded Cleared SME Support contract in the National Capital Region.

Position summary

Serve as Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for contractor-supported systems, providing classified network support, cybersecurity compliance and infrastructure sustainment within Government-secured environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support Government-furnished information systems on NIPR, SIPR, JWICS and other special-access networks.
• Maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms and all documentation required to keep the Authorization to Operate (ATO) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Coordinate with the Government ISSM on Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities to maintain continuous ATO status.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including patch management, STIG configuration, system hardening and audit-log review.
• Perform diagnostics, fault isolation and performance optimization on classified network infrastructure.
• Respond to and report cybersecurity incidents per the DoDI 8530 series and applicable directives.
• Manage user account creation, modification and termination under least privilege.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration baselines and security documentation.
• Support supply-chain risk management (SCRM) for hardware and software procurements.
• Support secure IP-based communications, classified enclaves, VPNs and tactical communications suites, and the rapid prototyping and field testing of emerging capabilities.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• 7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in a classified DoD network environment (NIPR/SIPR/JWICS).
• DoD 8570.01-M / 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CISSP or equivalent) at time of assignment.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; SAP access required or attainable within 60 days.

Preferred qualifications

• ISSO experience with hands-on RMF/A&A on DoD classified systems.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, DoDI 8510.01 and the DoDI 8500 series; STIG implementation and POA&M management.
• Router/switch configuration, firewall management and secure-enclave operations; familiarity with eMASS and automation.
• Certifications strongly preferred: CISSP, CySA+ or CASP+ CE, CEH, Azure Administrator or equivalent, DoD RMF training (CDSE or equivalent).

Details

Full-time W-2, on-site at Government-secured facilities in the NCR (Crystal City / Arlington, VA area). Salary $130,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, employer-paid life insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO and paid sick leave.
