Job summary

Cyber Defense Technologies is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to work onsite in Englewood, CO with a Secret Clearance or higher. The role emphasizes security engineering, risk management and hands-on ELK Stack log analysis.

Responsibilities include designing and validating secure systems, managing security tools, incident response, and ongoing security improvements. A Bachelor's degree and 3–5+ years in security roles are required, with relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a systems security, network engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years in information security or related roles.
• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or CYSA+ are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and implement secure operating systems, networks and security monitoring.
• Manage IT security systems, incident response, digital forensics and risk assessments.
• Research, evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies aligned with security strategy.
• Configure and utilize the ELK Stack for centralized logging and security monitoring.
