Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our Information Services team at Hill AFB, Utah. You will help safeguard classified information systems and advise AFNWC and related Directorates on RMF lifecycle activities for DoD programs.

You will lead risk assessments, support security audits, and shape security architectures including Zero Trust and cloud frameworks across AWS/Azure/GCP. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field; 8+ years experience
• Active Secret clearance
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT II / IAM I or higher on hire
• Experience leading large-scale security projects

Responsibilities

• Ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability of classified systems.
• Enforce information security programs, policies, and tools.
• Analyze reliability for vulnerability assessment usage.
• Conduct risk assessments of classified information systems.
• Provide recommendations to ISSM on security audits and risk assessments.
• Update Body of Evidence paperwork and artifacts.
• Serve as technical expert for cybersecurity policies and accreditation.
• Advise on security for processing, storage, and access of information.
