Job summary

Keller ISD Central High in Fort Worth, Texas, seeks an ISS Aide (183 Days) to supervise students assigned to in-school suspension and support certified staff in maintaining a structured classroom.

Under the campus principal and a licensed teacher, you will assist with assignments, manage behavior per board policies, and help with clerical tasks while promoting a safe, respectful learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for aides.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate required.
• Educational Aide III Certificate required.
• Associate degree or higher may be required for Title I positions per ESSA.
• Texas Teaching Certificate may be required for longer assignments.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an orderly, structured classroom environment with a certified teacher.
• Assist individual students with assignments and consult with teachers.
• Distribute, collect, and check student assignments for accuracy.
• Maintain individual files of completed assignments and return to teachers.
• Manage student behavior per board policies and IEPs.
• Record attendance and discipline referrals.
• Supervise ISS during lunch and bathroom breaks.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in staff committees as required.
• Ensure interactions with students and staff are respectful and supportive.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
