Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools seeks an iSpark Teacher to deliver college and career readiness instruction with an integrated approach. You will lead activities in coding, robotics, and project-based learning while using design thinking and inquiry methods to foster a student-centered classroom.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and Missouri teaching certification in Elementary Education and Early Childhood.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Hold or be eligible for Missouri teaching certification in Elementary Education and Early Childhood.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff and parents.
• Demonstrated success integrating curriculum and maintaining a positive culture.
• Knowledge of using technology in K-6 classrooms and interactive software/hardware.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons and provide instruction in coding, robotics, and project-based learning.
• Incorporate design-thinking and inquiry processes to support student learning.
• Support STEM curriculum growth and manage classroom tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Collaborate with administrators and teachers to meet program outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and PLTW certification training.
