Job summary

Aviagen Turkeys Inc. in Lewisburg, WV is seeking a Lab Assistant to manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory quality system and coordinate ISO-related activities.

The role entails data collection, updating quality manuals, conducting audits, and collaborating with Lab Quality and Technical Specialists to ensure compliance, with reporting to the microbiologist. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent required.
• 4 years quality experience in a laboratory or ISO/auditing experience preferred.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in preparing and maintaining quality manuals and reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with current ISO standards.
• Collect and manage data to promote quality.
• Write, maintain and update Quality and Technical manuals.
• Schedule and implement validations to achieve ISO compliance.
• Perform technical audits and oversee improvements to laboratory processes.
• Audit laboratory suppliers to ensure they meet technical requirements.
• Provide technical support to lab and veterinary teams on new diagnostic methods.
