Job summary

The Hartford Steam Boiler, a subsidiary of Munich Re, seeks an experienced quality auditor to conduct ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and PED audits with client travel and report writing.

You will review audit packages for HSB RS, IAS and GACI compliance, participate in certification decisions, and help maintain and improve the HSB RS management system. Strong written skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience with quality systems
• 3–5 years' experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
• 3–5 years experience with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
• Sales and business management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and PED audits at customer sites and write audit reports
• Perform certification package reviews to ensure HS B RS, IAS and GACI requirements are met
• Maintain, update and improve the HSB RS management system

Job description

Perform ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and PED customer audits which includes travel to customers, review of their management systems, provide feedback to customers and write a report identifying the audit outcomes, including positive observations, opportunities for improvement, non-conformances, certification recommendations.

Perform certification committee reviews. This is a review of submitted audit packages to ensure HSB RS, IAS and GACI requirements are fulfilled and make certification decisions.

Help maintain, update and improve the HSB RS management system.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma required
• Associates' degree desired in Quality Control, Mechanical Engineering, Program Management, Business Management, Contract Management or equivalent, OHSA 30 training, environmental engineering degree, certified safety professional.
• 3 to 5 years' experience with quality systems and understanding of industry terminology, practices, and controls.
• 3 to 5 years' experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. Understanding of Regulatory compliance and controls.
• 3 to 5 years experience with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Understanding of Regulatory compliance and controls.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
• Sales and business management experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Working knowledge of ISO standards
• Excellent communications skills and technical writing
• Demonstrated interpersonal and team skills including customer interaction in person, by phone, or email in support for audit team tasks
• Ability to prioritze tasks and schedule time with minimal supervision and direction
