Job summary

LKQ Corporation is hiring for a customer-focused sales support role in Texas. You will assist customers, promote parts and services, and handle inquiries with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

The position requires basic computer skills and a High School Diploma/GED, with opportunities to grow within a Fortune 500 family of automotive parts suppliers. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1+ year of related experience.
• College coursework or degree preferred.
• Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote sales of parts and services and assist customers with product information.
• Provide warranty, price, quality, delivery and payment method information.
• Process orders and review them for correct handling, pricing, quantities and shipping data.
• Develop relationships with potential customers to cultivate new business.
• Follow up with customers as needed and handle routine inquiries.
• Assist with internal documents supporting transactions (invoices, credits, returns).

Responsible for generating revenue by promoting sales of new and existing company products, providing customer service, evaluating customer needs, and answering questions regarding parts, pricing, and services.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide relevant information on warranties, price, quality of parts, delivery times, and payment methods.
• Complete internal documents supporting any transaction (credits, invoices, work order and/or interchange and returns, etc.).
• Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers to cultivate new business.
• Inform customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
• Advise customers on substitution or modification of part when part requested is not available.
• Process orders – perform order entry, review orders for correct handling, pricing, quantities, and shipping data (may dispatch orders in some locations).
• Follow-up with customers as needed.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED 1+ years of related experience required.

Preferred Requirements

• College coursework or degree.
• Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Basic computer skills.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
