Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic professionals for a Contract Utility Forester role. The position supports field identification, inspection, and evaluation of vegetation along utility lines, with reporting and client coordination.

Travel across Virginia and overnight stays are expected. Ideal candidates hold a forestry degree or related field, ISA certification, and strong MS Office skills. Prior vegetation management experience and GIS data collection capability are preferred; ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a forestry-related degree or equivalent experience.
• ISA Arborist certification is required.
• Experience in Utility Vegetation Management preferred.
• Competent MS Office skills are required.
• GIS data collection experience preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated, organized, production oriented.
• Ability to manage a geographic area and work with stakeholders and crews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned line-clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate crew access issues.
• Serve as liaison between clients, crews, and customer contacts. Travel throughout Virginia with some overnight travel.
