Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an IT Deskside Support Specialist to deploy computing hardware, support MS Office and collaboration tools, and maintain IT asset inventory at the Lake Charles project site.

You will develop reports, automate workflows, assist with EPC project plans, and coordinate with GIO to adhere to IT standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be a US citizen.

• Participates in requirements reviews with functions and other business stakeholders.
• Reviews and understands the EPC and GBU portfolio processes.
• Completes portions of the GBU portfolio updates under direction.

Project Overview:

Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will deploy computing hardware and provide deskside support to end users, supporting MS Office, e-mail, and collaboration platforms. You will develop reports, dashboards, automate workflows, maintain IT asset inventory, and assist with plans for proposals, studies, and projects. Your support will enhance technological efficiency, contributing to project success and client satisfaction. #LI-TN1

Major Responsibilities:

• Implements and supports IT hardware deployments, network infrastructure systems and provides deskside support to end users

• Works closely with corporate GIO to follow hardware deployment standards and follows and adheres to Corporate, GBU and Project IT procedures, standards, and security requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be a US citizen.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• 2+ years of experience with standard Deskside hardware and operating systems including system architectures, network infrastructures, client server principles, backup, recovery, and storage policies and procedures, and planning and implementing disaster prevention and recovery
• 2+ years of experience identifying, tracking and resolving problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems
• Knowledge of SNOW IT asset management systems
• 2+ years of experience with hardware and operating systems including system architectures, network infrastructures, client server principles, backup, recovery, and storage policies and procedures, and planning and implementing disaster prevention and recovery
• 2+ years of experience identifying, tracking and resolving problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems
• Comprehensive knowledge of process design and techniques, project management processes and tools (e.g. project scheduling, budgeting, status reporting)
• Experience with the planning, coordination and execution of IT plans associated with EPC projects
• 2+ years of experience assisting with the development and execution of IT plans associated with key business initiatives.

• Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces.
• Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
• Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
