Job summary

Texscapes Services Monarch Landscape Companies is seeking an experienced irrigation technician to support and repair commercial irrigation systems across multiple sites. You will assist the Branch Manager or Irrigation Manager in scheduling and supervising Technicians I & II, ensuring safety and quality on every job.

Responsibilities include installing and programming controllers, troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical issues, mapping irrigation coverage, reading blueprints, and preparing

Qualifications

• Four years of commercial irrigation experience.
• Valid driver license issued by the state of employment.
• Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) license preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Abide by safety standards and company code of conduct.
• Assist Branch Manager/ Irrigation Manager in scheduling and supervising Technicians I & II.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot irrigation systems and controllers.
• Inspect equipment, map irrigation coverage, and complete PMI/inspections.
• Read blueprints and prepare accurate work orders and proposals.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible and capable of all types of repairs both hydraulic and electrical commercial irrigation system Assist Branch Manager or Irrigation Manager in scheduling and supervising any Technician I & II

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Always abide by company code of conduct and safety standardsTrench backfill and excavate soil for irrigation repairs or installationsMaintain organize stocked and clean irrigation truck and toolsMaintain job site safe clean and organized conditionAbility to understand and follow all standard irrigation procedures safelyAbility to understand irrigation components and terminologyAbility to understand replace and adjust both spray heads and rotors properlyAbility to understand manually operate irrigation valves replacement and adjustmentsAbility to understand complete irrigation forms for material usage and work requestInspects equipment to ensure good working order and charged prior to arriving at job site or leaving the yardEfficiently and completely perform irrigation inspections and mappingInstallation of landscape drainageAbility to troubleshoot irrigation problems and coverage issuesRepair and install PVC up to and including 3Repairs and replaces RVCs up to including 3Ability to operate irrigation system from the clock and make program adjustmentsAbility to understand and troubleshoot both hydraulic and electrical issuesAbility to utilize tracker toner voltmeter ground fault locatorAbility to layout and design of all types of sprinkler headsAbility to understand and install drip irrigation and the maintenance requiredAbility to safely operation of a trencherAbility to organize paperwork timecards and inventory of truckAssist with creating work orders and can estimate minor irrigation repairs and upgradesAssist with providing complete and legible irrigation inspectionsCan identify minor irrigation upgrades field notes and basic site mapsCan perform and record complete PMIsInstallation and programming all brands of controllersInstallation of flow monitoring devises wiring and testingProper programing of flow devicesDesign and Installation of landscape drainageTroubleshoot irrigation problems and coverage issuesRepair and install PVCs up to and including 4 and thrust blocksRepair and install RVCs up to and including 4Operate irrigation system from the clock or remote by computerAbility to layout design of all types of sprinkler headsAbility to write proposals pertaining to repair upgrades and installationsCapable of two wire troubleshooting and installationInstallation design and maintenance of drip irrigationTroubleshoot 24 volt field wiring and solenoid issuesTroubleshoot and program decoders on two wire systemsTroubleshoot and repair backflow devicesUnderstand proper controller programingAssist with irrigation design in installation layoutAssist with hiring and training of Technician I & II Create complete job start up inspections and proposalsCreate work orders estimate irrigation repairs and upgradesManage irrigation inventoryRead and understand blueprintsOther duties as assigned

Experience

At least four years commercial irrigation experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

License or Certification As required by state and federal lawValid driver license issued by the state where employedBackflow Assembly Tester BAT License in state where employed preferred
